The Twin Cities and MN has a vast number of city, county and start parks. Some parks with lakes have canoes or kayaks to rent. Trails are abundant for hiking or biking. Make a plan to check out some parks or revisit favorite childhood parks. It is always fun to take a trip to the MN Arboretum or the Saint Paul Conservatory and Zoo.
Food Trucks or Pack a Picnic
Summer is a great time to eat outside. Pick up a meal at your favority food truck or try a new one. Get out the picnic basket and invite a friend to join you. Many breweries have an outdoor space with music on the patio. Eating at a park can be enjoyable. Hearing birds singing or children laughing will make you smile. Even Subway sandwiches on a friends deck can be a nice change of pace.
Get Some Exercise In a New Way
Have you played all the minature golf courses in the Twin Cities? Or what about hitting some golf balls or playing nine holes at a public course. Tennis or pickelball can be a good cardio workout. Or maybe yoga in a park. Boxing is a good work out and especially good for those with Parkinson’s.
