Are you aware of the Society of Certified Senior Advisors or that there are Certified Senior Advisors across the nation? This organization has been in operation for over twenty years and today there are hundreds of Certified Senior Advisors (CSAs) who in the course of their practice, apply multidisciplinary knowledge of the aging process and aging issues to identify the most appropriate options and solutions for seniors’ individual needs and best interests to improve their lives.
Each year there is an annual conference of the Society of Senior Advisors (SCSA) and this year over 200 CSAs came together in Portland to learn and network with others to increase their knowledge to better help seniors that they serve. Speakers talked about the aging population of the world, end of life planning, trends in technology, caregiving tips, employing caregivers and how to do that correctly regarding labor laws and much more.
The SCSA holds two accreditations: The American National Standards Institute or ANSI and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or NCCA. Each CSA must pass a background check, complete hours of study to pass a difficult certification exam and continue their education by attaining regular Continuing Education credits that are tracked by the SCSA.
When working with a CSA, you can be assured you are working with a trustworthy individual who is passionate about serving seniors and their needs! If you are wanting a connection to a CSA in another part of the United States we are happy to connect you.
