When is the Best Time To Move to Senior Living?

Many seniors would andwer that quesiton by saying never.  And during this pandemic that is echoed by more seniors than in the past.

The right answer to that question in our opinion is well before you need to.

Here are three main reasons not to wait:

1.  Choice-you will have more options to choose from if  it’s a flexible timeline and you have  time to wait for the top choice.  Although today, more places have openings than a year ago,

2.  Control-you will be able to have more say in making the decision.  And more time. If your health has declined, others may be helping to make the decision.  Looking at options now even if virtually is a very comforting and easy paced way to understand and consider your options.

3.  One move.  If you are in assisted living a short time, there is more chance if you have depleted your savings, that you will have to move. Most options that accept Medical Assistance give their limited spots to those residents that have lived there the longest.  Move sooner, with less needs and lower costs make this more realistic.
